Experis Tech Talent Outlook Q2 2024

Just under a third of UK IT employers plan to increase headcount in the second quarter of 2024, with businesses in the IT sector reporting a Net Employment Outlook of +32%.

Global leader in IT professional resourcing, Experis (part of ManpowerGroup), shares that 38% of IT businesses report this hiring demand is driven by technological advancements driving new expertise, but 77% still report difficulty finding candidates with the skills they need.

In addition, Experis shares new data regarding female representation in STEM roles around the UK.

While some progress is being made by IT businesses in the area of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) strategies across what many still consider to be a male-dominated sector, new data reveals more work still needs to be done.
