The Future of the Internet of Things

ExperistechUK and HBB are pleased to host the second Future of IoT Conference in Bristol on the 25th April 2019. This year, the event will cover the extensive advances that the Internet of Things can offer the Manufacturing industry; from advanced manufacturing methods which provide the opportunity for greater customisation, through to the potential energy savings and performance improvements that it can deliver. We will also examine the skills which will be needed now and in the future to allow industry to make progress, as operations and IT start to work together more effectively.

Despite pockets of world-class excellence in Advanced Manufacturing in the UK, the Government backed Made Smarter Review highlighted that the adoption of ‘Industrial Digital Technologies’ is a priority for the investment, offering a prize fund of as much as £455bn for UK manufacturing over the next decade, and making the opportunities on offer even clearer.

Attendees of the Future of IoT Conference will hear industry leaders share the opportunities and difficulties of implementing advanced manufacturing techniques, alongside their recommendations for other organisations looking to move forward on their IoT journey. There will be time to network with technology and industry leaders throughout the day, as well as gaining a greater understanding of Government support and plans in this area.

Our keynote talks and panel discussions will be filled with insights and debate on the future of IoT in manufacturing, making it a worthwhile afternoon out of the office. Speakers include Professor Rob Rolley, Head of Innovation for UK Defence Solutions Centre, Geraldina Ireheta, Director of Business Development at Digital Catapult and Jill Bassett, Workforce Solutions Director at ManpowerGroup. You can see the full agenda on the techUK website.
