For the second year in a row the United Kingdom was ranked as the strongest country within the EMEA region for workforce engagement. The 33.87 million strong workforce continues to lead the European region with its impressive combination of talent availability and flexible regulations. When all the factors of the Total Workforce Index™ are considered, the UK ranks as the 4th strongest country globally in 2019. Moving from 9th place in 2016, the UK’s performance has consistently improved over the last four years and has kept the country in the top ten markets for workforce engagement.
