Experis Tech Talent Outlook Q3 2026

Tech is setting the pace for hiring. The latest Experis Tech Talent Outlook shows a+51% Net Employment Outlook for Tech & IT in Q3 2026 − the strongest outlook across all sectors.

We surveyed 4,497 Tech & IT Services employers across 42 countries, including 228 in the UK, to understand hiring plans for the quarter ahead.

Despite rapid innovation, one thing hasn’t changed: people are the competitive edge. Yet 73% of UK employers say they can’t find the skilled talent they need. Demand is rising fast, with hiring expectations up 7 percentage points quarter-on-quarter and 4 points year-on-year.

Michael Stull, UK Managing Director, ManpowerGroup UK says:

“UK businesses are realising the need for people. Uncertainty has dominated the UK economy and job market for months, but that is not sustainable for businesses, employees or the consumer. That’s why we’re seeing the needle shifting in terms of a willingness to hire.

“Despite this, the picture is not clear cut. Hiring will not be on a mass scale – instead we expect many businesses to hire in single figures – and we also anticipate that businesses will be recruiting for roles they’ve delayed filling.”
