The day l migrated from my origin of birth , more than 20 years ago to reside in United Kingdom, I learnt about cultural differences and full understanding to respect diversity in our society. I have worked as a support worker with Brook Street social care for more than a year now, but l have been in care roles for more than 10 years which has been a great experience and rewarding journey. My role is mainly to ensure that an individual’s day-to-day needs and preferences are met. Moreover, l do believe that EWC could be a platform to advocate for the interests of employees and promote a culture of information. This is going to be a challenging position, but it could be an opportunity to improve my communication skills and confidence to engage in conversation that matters within the team.
Finally, it is important to give my time to research and attend necessary training or debate involved to succeed in contributing to new ideas that will bring the deployment to the team that will aim EWC’s goals.
