We have been watching the terrible events unfold in Ukraine with great concern.

As always at ManpowerGroup, the safety and wellbeing of our people and their families is our top priority. Our CEO, Jonas Prising, recently published a LinkedIn message in which he noted that our teams on the ground in neighbouring countries – in Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia especially, where refugee numbers are greatest – are doing a heroic job.

Without a doubt, our position is clear – ManpowerGroup stands with Ukraine, with Ukrainian people everywhere, and we stand for peace. We have made a $500,000 donation to aid humanitarian relief efforts through local and global organisations including UNHCR – the UN Refugee Agency.  We also have a dedicated UNHCR-MPG donate link to make giving easy and so that we can combine our contributions as a company. Our donations will support non-profit organisations working on the frontline to send more resources, deploy relief items, provide cash assistance to those impacted and support child welfare and protection.

In addition, as a longstanding member of the Tent Partnership for Refugees, we have signed a letter of support for solidarity: “Today, we stand up for Ukrainians and all refugees displaced around the world who dream of, one day, returning to a home that is safe, free, and welcoming for all”.  We are committed to providing support for their immediate and long term needs to help them settle in places they will call home and providing meaningful and sustainable employment.

We understand this uncertain time may cause feelings of fear and anxiety as we consider the impact of the crisis. We have engaged directly with our Ukrainian national colleagues to offer support, and we are closely monitoring the situation.

For now, we stand together hoping for a swift, peaceful, and compassionate resolution.
