What happens when?

Taking part in HR Star is a three-step process:

Step one: Let us know you’d like to participate
You have until 20 January 2017 to let us know you’d like to take part. We’ll need you to send us a completed entry form and tell us about what you’d like your work life legacy to be. Full details can be found here.

Step two: Presentations
We’ll invite the shortlisted applicants to join us in Warwick on 16 and 17 February 2017, for two days of presentations and masterclasses. Our judges will hone your abilities through coaching sessions, before asking you participate in a presentation and lift pitch.

Step three: The public vote
The pitches you present to the judges in Warwick will be put to the public vote. We’ll then crown the overall HR Star of 2017 at the PPMA Annual Charity Dinner and Awards in spring 2017.

Who can take part?

HR Star is open to all HR and HR-affiliated professionals in public services, including individuals who work for partner organisation. You don’t just have to be at the beginning of your career – this competition is open to all emerging HR talent, regardless of your career stage.

HR Star is free to enter for PPMA members. For non-members, the entry fee is £149 per person and includes 12 months membership to PPMA plus 50% discount to the PPMA annual seminar in April.
